New Orleans...Who Dat!!

Gotta love New Orleans.
Got into New Orleans about noon...we had arranged meeting Jessica and the girls at the car rental center, amazingly we arrived just about the same time. Made our way into the French Quarter, settled into the Hotel and went exploring. What a fantastic city, the smells and sights are so unique. Robin May, Jessica's mother-in-law recommended Cafe Maspero for lunch so we got the address and headed that way. She had been specific and told Jess the roast beef sandwich was one of the best she'd ever had...good choice, the place was cool and the food tasty...thanks Robin. After lunch a short nap for Madie Cake's and then back down to the Quarter. Jackson square is timeless and just as I remembered it from 25 years ago, we made our way to Cafe Du Monde for a plate of beignets and iced coffee, what a great place to take a break and watch the world go by (while eating and drinking). There is so much going on in this city it's almost impossible to take it all in. After a little strolling, people watching, window shopping and actual shopping we started the fun walk down Bourbon Street...man, can it get any stranger than this? If you can't imagine something, come to Bourbon Street, I promise you'll see it. If you like diversity of life and enjoy seeing the extreme's, you have come to the right place. All I can say is Who Dat...or maybe it should be What Dat!!!
Wonderful lunch.

Nothing like Beignets and Coffee...we'll be back tomorrow.

I wish she'd get serious!!
