Loved DC

Great men come along at the right time.
This trip to DC was awesome, neither of us would have thought the DC portion of our trip would have been so excellent. We packed a month of site seeing into 6 days, and man do our legs attest to that. If you attempt to describe our capitol you will surely come up short. The magnificent, beauty and artistry of the memorials is more than you can imagine, the words written in stone are more inspiring than anything I've experienced. You know most of these words from here and there in your education and life experience, but being reminded of them all within 6 days brings the idea and existence of this country into clear focus.
 Monuments to America.
We Americans are so fortunate, sure we have problems, sure there is inequality and injustice, and we seem to be in a very tough place right now, but we have the answers also, and we have the vote. If we are unhappy we can, as a people, demand better through our votes. Remember "We the People," that's us! If you don't like something that's happening in the country, start a petition, if enough other Americans agree with you, you can change anything. I know deep inside that all the great Americans weren't here in 1776, some have to be here now, we are ready for change and need them to step forward and lead us.
I picture myself as a liberal 60s hippy, but also a patriot. Those who agree with my views and those who don't, are my countryman. Together we will come out of this mess we are in, we just have to resolve to do it together. Learn to listen to your neighbor who's opinion has equal weight to yours, visual a compromise that may not be perfect, but has both sides agreement.

Sheer beauty in our capital.

Differing ideas guide us.

The People's House...demand greatness from our leaders.
And most of all...Love your Country.

Oh yea...by the way...Nanc and I are off to Italy...so I want this mess cleaned up by the time I get back!
