Queenstown...to Makarora

Day 18 Jan 31
Queenstown until 3 pm...goodbyes to Martin, Frank, Ling, Yannis, Anish, Suzanne, young Ben from Cincinnati and Phil...quite a few characters in this group. Added Irishmen Steve and his girlfriend Samantha and a couple of young Aussie’s Ethan and Sam...everyody loved Queenstown, so picturesque and the adrenaline capital of NZ...any and everything available to do, if its crazy its here. Lots of Bungy jumpers, people jumping out of planes and jet boat enthusist...the middle aged americans spent the day having coffee’s, shopping a little and indulging in relaxation. Wish we could have spent a couple days here. When we finally got back to the camp site our old bus was there...yea! Spread out and relax again. This bus saga seems to have come to a close. Steely looked like a proud father who’s child had returned...we had our customary mad dash for seats, thank god Steve was looking after us, we got one of the 4 spots with seats facing each other...Deb’s knee is still iffy and she needed to stretch it out and ice during our drives. We headed out to Makarora, hopefully we’ll be able to upgrade and give Deb a break from crawling in and out of a tent.
