Day 8 Jan 21
Get into Wellington for the day...good cup of coffee, botanical gardens are awesome, Nanc, deb and I walk along the shore, have lunch at a little deli, walk into and thru a gay festival and then meet up with the group at the train station for the ferry crossing to Pichton...on to the South Island...Middle Earth from the “Lord of the Rings”. Many people think it is the most beautiful spot on the planet, can’t wait to see it for ourselves. The Ferry is a late crossing and takes a little over 3 hours, we get to the Sequoia Lodge in Pichton about 9pm...get a great room and spend a pleasant evening.
