Another day on the farm, 4wheeling and Wainui Beach.

I'm not much of a country boy so I was pretty unaware of how much work 30 acres takes...these guys have 34 sheep, an orchard of fruit trees, 2 barns, 2 horses, a dog and more grass than you could shake a stick at. this morning I offered to help Suze give Brook (the dog) a bath...easier than I thought, we just put him on a short leash, attached it to the fence and hosed him down. Suze did all the shampooing and I dried and combed. The whole thing was pretty quick and easy but just 1 of the 100 things Suze wanted to accomplish today...this farming/ranching is hard!
Afterwards Suze, Nanc and I went out to the far shed to check on her car that has sat out there for years...bad news, the rats have been nesting in it, a job for tomorrow will be to get the car out so it can be fixed...next Suze sets us up with the 4wheeler for a little spin around the sheep paddock. What a blast...I rounded up the whole flock and cornered them under the tree's. Nanc went a little easier and was happy to just go in a big loop...this part of farming/ranching I liked!
Brook...his once a month shower.

the far shed...home of Suze'a car for the last couple years.

don't they look hereded?

In the afternoon we collected deb and Kathleen and headed over to Wainui Beach for maybe a little swim or just some beach relaxation. This beach is beautiful, it's the middle of summer and there was hardly anybody there, in the States something this nice would be swamped. The water was too cold for us to swim so we sat on an old piece of driftwood and watched the surfers doing their thing. A pretty cool day.
