Old McDonalds Farm...Tasman Bay

Feb 5 day 23
A second day at Old McDonald’s Farm (campground), Debbie has found the chickens...yes Deb is up 1st thing in the am with a handfull of bread...there she is saying, chick, chick, chick..ever chicken in town is by our front door, they think she is Mother Goose!!! She has even attracted a duck...quack! We actually had our promised pancake breakfast this morning...finally...yea! Holly makes a pretty good pancake...and surprise surprise there was even butter and syrup.
Next up a whole day sail...we boarded the Catamaron “Alley Cat” about 10:30 am and spent the whole day sailing in the Tasman Bay...the day started off foggy, misty and cold and as we pulled in at the end of the day it was the nicest part of the day. We did get to see “Split Apple Rock” and most of the shoreline of Abel Tasman National Park, but we were mostly wrapped in our coats, cold and wet. Dinner was at Tui’s restaurant down the road but of course we had to pay for our own meal...I took my nickels and dimes and paid again (yes nickeled and dimed every time you turn around)...why don’t these guys just charge a little more and get rid of these xtra’s...makes no sense. Anyway, apparently this Tui’s is the end all of burgers and fries...they should come to the states, these burgers are at best just big! Stopped for a beer on the way back with some people we really enjoy and then walked back to Old McDonald’s Farm in the dark...bed at 10 and we start again.
