Feb 4...day 22
Long, long drive today...beautiful country but tiring all the same Lots of little town breaks...letting people off for the skydiving and hang gliding and then there was the Flying Fox....some buddy of Steely has built this contraption that he tows up, by a rope, to the very top of a hill, and then let’s go...with 8 passengers inside and 2 strapped on the roof, the Flying Fox gets up to 75 mph before touching down in a short pool of water...this is NZ adventure at its best...probably uncertified and built in a shed...this place is just outside of Marahau, there are also shetland ponies, a freakish cow that is still attached to its twin (just an extra leg and hoof) and a very cute puppy. What an adventure!
