The Perch that got away.

Tools for travel

Bundled up against the cold.

Inside Guido's...we asked to sit inside.
Nanc and I drove out to Lago de Bolsena for the 3rd time today...if you remember we found a wonderful place to eat there and went back a second time only to find the restaurant closed...we were determined to dine there at least once more while we are in Italy. After an hour drive and with great anticipation we walked up to the restaurant only to find a construction crew replacing the entire floor...they were closed again...drat. Plans in Italy often go like this...we walked down to Guido’s and had a fine lunch anyway, but I sure would like tasting that Perch Etruscan Style sometime again in my life. Oh well...we are at the point we are saying goodbye to places that we won’t travel to again...goodbye Bolsena.
We drove home a completely different route (and in fact were lost half the time), had a chance to see more countryside and a couple villages we’d missed. This area would be a perfect place to have a second home, maybe a small cabin in the country...your life would be better for spending 2 weeks here just sitting and relaxing.
And that’s another day...very relaxing but not to exciting, not even a good story to tell, maybe tomorrow.
